CA DMV Dropping Knowledge Tests For Drivers 70+

California drivers ages 70 and over will no longer have to take a written knowledge test when renewing their licenses come October, the California Department of Motor Vehicles announced According to the DMV, drivers 70 and older must still visit their local office for a vision exam and take an updated photo to renew their license. First-time drivers and those with poor driving records will also be required to take a knowledge test.
